We want to amplify the voice and impact of qualitative criminologists to advance (qualitative) criminology.
This is our editorial board, editor, and institutional supporter: Judith Aldridge; Etannibi Alemika; Lorana Bartels; Mia Bloom; Neil Chakraborti; Johnna Christian; Ben Crewe; Katja Franko; Jooyoung Lee; Murray Lee; Marie Rosenkrantz Lindegaard; Shadd Maruna; Laura Piacentin; Lois Presser; Joseph Richardson, Jr.; Victor Rios; Ashley Rubin; Layla Skinns; Sudhir Venkatesh; Scott Jacques; and, Criminology Open.
We select and reuse postprints and Versions of Record in accordance with their CC licenses. This approach is what makes OQC/ an overlay journal. You can learn more about our approach below and here.
The Editor peruses recent articles published in peer-review criminology journals or shared as postprints on CrimRxiv; he sends his “favorites”1 to the Editorial Board, with a request for timely feedback on the selection;2 the positively assessed papers are slated for inclusion in OQC/ if a version of them has a CC license. Please, do not proactively ask the Editor to include your article in OQC/.3 If you want to increase the odds of a paper being seen by the Editor, you should proactively submit it to CrimRxiv.
